Going against Intel's Glacier Falls platform

According to a fresh report, AMD could be launching its 3rd generation Ryzen Threadripper HEDT CPUs in October, just in time to give Intel's Cascade Lake-X HEDT lineup a run for it money.

According to Digitimes.com report, citing sources from the motherboard industry, AMD and Intel will go head to head in the HEDT (high-end desktop) market in October.

Based on Zen 2 architecture, AMD could theoretically launch a 64-core/128-thread Threadripper CPU with 8-channel memory support.

Before it launches its 3rd generation Threadripper CPUs, AMD has another ace up its sleeve, and it is a 16-core Ryzen 9 3950X CPU, coming in September.
