2.5-inch SATA SSD with 3D QLC NAND

ADATA has unveiled its latest Ultimate SU630 2.5-inch SATA 6Gbps SSD based on next-generation 3D QLC (Quad-Level Cell) NAND.

Coming in 240GB, 480GB, and 960GB capacities and using 3D QLC NAND, the ADATA Ultimate SU630 promises to deliver improved reliability, longevity, and performance compared to TLC-based SSDs as well as give HDDs a run for their money.

Unfortunately, the specification page does not include any information on the actual controller, but does say that the SU630 will offer sequential read and write performance of up to 520MB/s and 450MB/s, depending on the capacity, with random 4k performance peaking at 40K IOPS for read and up to 65K IOPS for write.

The ADATA Ultimate SU630 SSD also features SLC caching, has advanced hardware LDPC ECC technology, comes with free SSD Toolbox and Migration Utility, has an MTBF of 1.5 million hours, and a 2-year warranty.

Unfortunately, ADATA did not provide any details regarding the price but it should show up in retail/e-tail pretty soon.
