Digitimes reports that Intel informed motherboard manufacturers about the delay, which may have a big impact on their production plans. The delay could disrupt shipment plans for Broadwell-U and Haswell Refresh parts, and could even delay the development of 65W Broadwell chips.
Punters were expecting Skylake to make an appearance at Computex, which is still a possibility, but while vendors will probably have some hardware to show off, they will not be able to ship their products until late August or even September.
