Samsung said that it was not going to use the Snapdragon 810 because it tended to overheat, and Qualcomm offered to tweak it.
LG, which used the 810 in its used in its G Flex 2 model, initially denied the chip had any problems. However it was later rumoured to be preparing to sue Qualcomm.
The Korea Times stated that the company would not stand for such a change. However this rumour was inconsistent with LG's earlier "no problems with the chip, nothing to see here" stance.
Ken Hong, Global Communications Director for LG said that rumors regarding LG taking legal action against Qualcomm are unfounded and a complete fabrication of the facts. "Given the source of this rumor, we're surprised it's being taken seriously at all."
The original post from the Korea Times has since been taken down.
