However, AMD was reportedly forced to push back the desktop Trinity launch by a couple of months. Originally scheduled to appear in August, the first reports of the delay came from SemiAccurate last week and Charlie pinned the launch date to September. AMD responded by saying that the first OEM Trinity desktops should appear on shelves within a week.
Today TechEye talked to a few AMD partners and learned that desktop Trinity parts have been delayed to October. No reason was given to the partners and at this point we do not know what to make of it all.
There are simply too many contradictory reports and rumours out there, July, August, September and now October. The first Trinity motherboards have already leaked out and AMD doesn’t appear to be having any problems shipping mobile parts, so we can only hope desktop chips will follow soon. It is all quite puzzling and we will try to find out more.
