Overclocker bags new world record
AMD’s FX-8150 might not have what it takes to take on Intel’s new Ivy Bridge parts, but it is still the darling of the overclocking community.
An overclocker has managed to push the Zambezi part all the way to 8805,64GHz, truly a remarkable feat.
The attempt was made on an Asus Crosshair V Formula 990FX motherboard, backed by liquid nitrogen cooling. VCore was set at 1.86GHz and two ADATA 2GB memory modules were used.
Now if only AMD could find a way to make its high-end parts compete with Intel’s…
