AMD has something that it calls Business class processors and the new line-up based on 45nm parts is coming this quarter. The top one is based on Deneb 45nm quad core, and this CPU comes with 4x512KB L2 and 6MB L3 cache.
It fits the AM3 socket and interconnects with DDR3 memory
but it would also work with DDR2. The memory controller supports DDR3 1333. AMD
calls this CPU Phenom II X4 B95 and it works at 3.0GHz.
The slower version, B93 works at 2.8GHz. Both of these CPUs are part
of the Kodiak platform and they are scheduled to launch in Q3 2009 and we would
expect it to be ready by early September, depending on OEMs.
