Lynnfield in the middle is 2.8GHz
2.93GHz, 2.8GHz and
2.66GHz
We have already mentioned the fastest and the slowest Lynnfield, but so far we haven’t talked about the Malcolm in the middle.
The middle one works at 2.8GHz but with Intel’s Nehalem exclusive feature called Turbo you can expect that one single core automatically overclocked will allow it to work at a saucy 3.46GHz.
Let me remind you, Lynnfield 2.93GHz can work at 3.6GHz with Turbo, while 2.66 Lynnfield will overclock to 3.2GHz. The rest of the specification is the same as they all use socket 1156, have support for eight threads and 8MB cache.
The P55 boards are already in final stage of development but we expect massive launch toward the back to school, so August to September time, as in late June early July people only have their minds fixed on vacations, especially in the western hemisphere.
