Intel has revised its Core i7 sales guide for 2009 and it looks like Core i7 sales aren’t look that great.
It’s been more than six months since Intel introduced three Core i7 based CPUs and the market share compared to the overall CPU sales is still minuscule.
The sad part is that Core i7 for Q2 2009 and every following
quarter will stay to one percent of market, at least until Q1 2010.
The Core 2 Quad 45nm market share is currently at 8 percent, and
it will get to 9 percent in Q3 and again 9 percent in Q4. In Q1 2010 it
should begin to shrink due to Lynnfield penetration.
At least the Core 2 Quad 65nm market share is completely gone.
