Intel’s OEM sales guide

Lynnfield, the cheaper Nehalem marchitecture based 45nm quad-core will get a miserable one percent market share in Q3 2009. This is the time when the CPU will launch but already in Q4 2009 it should expand its market share to nine percent. We are talking about Intel’s predictions for OEM quarterly sales.

Once Intel launches Clarkdale 32nm dual-core with quad threads and graphics, the market share for Lynnfield and Clarkdale will expand to 18 percent. We suspect that at least 9 percent will be the market share for Clarkdale while the remaining nine will be Lynnfield market share.

The OEM market still wants cheaper systems and for the time being that will remain the dual-core. Luckily they expect a bit better position with desktop consumer sales guide.
