Arrandale to get to Ultra low voltage
Some SKUs
Intel's first 32nm with 45nm graphics CPU codenamed Arrandale will have capability to fit the ULV (Ultra Low Voltage) market and this means that this CPU should fit to a 10W TDP envelope, or a bit higher.
The current Intel Core 2 Duo SU9x00 generation is based on Penryn-3M dual-cores and is made in 45nm. It has FSB 200 3MB shared cache and is available all the way up to 1.6GHz speed.
Arrandale should bring some new SKUs, but we are not sure if they will manage to get over the 1.6GHz clock, as low TDP is very important in this market.
Arrandale also features 45nm integrated graphics core and Intel will surely have to change the way it calculates TDP as overall system TDP might go down but the TDP of the CPU will certainly go up.
