According to a filing with the U.S. Securities & Exchange Commission, AMD has reduced its workforce by 600 souls, 100 more than originally expected.

Sacking 100 people just after they've spent a fortune for Christmas sounds a bit cruel, if you ask us, but we're hoping they were told in advance. Unfortunately, AMD won't stop at this, and even more job cuts are expected.

The total restructuring cost in Q4 is expected to be around $70 million.
