You don't
launch a product a few weeks before Xmas, and therefore AMD won't show Deneb and launch a small quantity in late November. The launch will take place at CES 2008 in first days of January followed by immediate availability.

Deneb is a desktop version of the core we know as Shanghai with 4x512KB L2 cache and 6MB L3 cache. This CPU is supposed to run at clocks higher than 2.7GHz. Our sources were not conclusive about the exact clocks, but the impression is that Deneb will end up at a higher frequency and that the overclocking of this part on air, will be rather impressive.

AMD has solved all the legacy problems that I had with Agena, Phenom branded 65nm generation and there is clock limitations that should spoil your overclocking.

This will certainly get AMD back in the game since it will reassure the market that AMD CPUs are good enough, but Deneb won’t be good enough to beat the Nehalem Core i7 generation. At least AMD plans to give Intel a run for its money and to be rather competitive with the Core 2 Quad generation.
