We asked Intel to give us some official comments on our very popular story where we indicated that all three Bloomfield CPUs from the Nehalem generation, should end up with a 130W TDP.
Intel got back to us and this is what we got, on the record. "We(Intel) have not yet publicly specified the launch frequencies for the Intel Core i7 processor. However, we expect to utilize the existing 130 Watt power envelope in use today in high performance desktop systems."
Intel didn’t want to comment if the 2.66GHz Core i7 will have 130W TDP, and this information hasn’t been either confirmed or denied, but we still have hopes that we might get some answers by the end of this week, as we should meet with some key Nehalem people this week.
