We've learned that big OEMs and ODMs have got a hold of retail Diamondville CPUs and these CPUs are the final specification. The only SKU that is planned for Q2 shipping works at 1.6GHz, has 512KB of cache memory and supports two threads. This product will be known as Atom 230 in the retail / OEM world.
The first big shipments were carried out in first days of May, but you had to order and reserve them back in March.
Due to huge demand, there might not be enough of these chips, but we still haven't heard that the shortage will be as severe as predicted. The final retail units based on both desktop and notebook Atom CPU are being finalized and it looks it will all be ready for a Computex launch.
