AMD has promised its investors that it can ship its dual and triple K10 marchitecture in early 2008. The platform for this environment is codenamed Perseus, and Toliman is the Tri-core, while Kuma is a dual-core.

All these chips are 65nm and are directly derived from the K10 marchitecture. These chips have support for DDR2 memory, 2MB L3 cache memory, Hypertransport 3.0, AMD-V and they will come in AM2+ flavor.

AMD recommends using these with the RS780 upcoming integrated chipset and R6xx or Hybrid graphics will be an option.

This is the only dual and tri-core that AMD plans for 2008 and this will get replaced by the middle of 2008 by the 45 nanometer-based Kodiak platform.
