AMD Phenom 9600 pictured
CPU-Z screen shots all over the Web
It looks like AMD is getting close to launch date for its Phenom X4, as several different sites have posted CPU-Z screen shots of the Phenom 9600, and OCWorkbench even has a picture of the CPU itself.
The strange thing is that CPU-Z seems to report differently as to what the specification is: one site lists AMD Phenom X4 Quad-Core Processor GP-6900, while OCWorkbench as it down as AMD Phenom 9600 Quad-Core Processor, which is puzzling, to say the least. (We wonder if perhaps the numbers 6 and 9 were transposed by a typographical mistake? That could be a simple explanation.)
Everything else is the same, though: Socket AM2+, 2.3GHz clock speed, 128kB combined L1 cache, 512kB L2 cache for each core and finally 2MB of L3 shared cache between the four cores.
You can find OCWorkbench's pictures here and VR-Zone have the other pictures in their forums, but they appear to be from a Taiwanese forum.
