At the launch event we found out that AMD plans to ship B2 revision of Barcelona K10 CPU. Opteron 2300 series will ship as B2 revision. According to our previous information this will bring the lover voltages and lower dissipation into the game.

Updated: The B2 revision of K10 is the reason how AMD can have a 75W ACP (Average CPU Power) but still 95W TDP with its 2.0GHz parts, while we aready know that B0 and B1 had a 95W TDP on the same clock.

The B2 revision is the one that should let AMD go all the way up to 3GHz with Quad core and even faster with Dual core. We will keep our eyes for developments, but if AMD is right this 2GHz chip should be a great overclocker.
