Our sources close to AMD have confirmed
that Phenom 3GHz cannot even come close to
30000 in 3Dmark06, even on dry ice and heavy overclock. The same sources confirmed that no matter how AMD would like
this to be true that such expectation about Phenom 3GHz would be too much.
If Phenom that fast, this would mean that clock to clock AMD is twice as fast as
Intel’s quad core at the same clock speed and that is simply impossible.
With highest overclocking you will get to
26.800, trust me that is quite a lot, and Kingpin overclocked a Core 2 Duo to
5251 GHz and used two Geforce 8800 Ultras to get there.
In our Viennese lab we’ve two Geforce 8800
Ultras overclocked to 655 MHz each and Core 2 Duo extreme X6800 at 2.93 GHz will
score 13500 and that is the fastest score we’ve seen. Quad core at 3GHz and FSB
1333 is maybe a few hundred faster but that’s it.

you can believe what you want to believe but you have been warned.
