AMD's next gen Bulldozer supports SSE5
Comes after K10.5 at 45 nm
AMD's next generation Bulldozer CPU is currently scheduled for 2009 and it will be the next generation technology that will come after K10.5. K10.5 is the codename for the 45 nanometre K10 that is set to arrive in 2H 2008.
It is rather interesting that Bulldozer will support SSE5 instruction set and we guess that Intel's upcoming Nehalem can support this set of instruction as well.
K10 supports SSE 4.0a, which is a subset of the whole SSE 4 specification, and this will certainly give Intel some kind of instruction advantage over the existing K10.
