Chipmaker AMD has announced plans to help developers speed up their software.

Among the plans are a new classification of hardware extensions dubbed XSP (or Extensions for Software Parallelism) to allow internal hardware monitors that contain runtime observe information about executing processes.

According to TG Daily this will give developers new data to help software re-design itself at run-time to remove bottlenecks.

AMD's first product is a new initiative called Light-Weight Profiling which enable software to query or capture data the hardware has seen through its own internal runtime analysis.
