The Pentium 4 641 at 3.2 and 631 at 3.0 GHz will both drop to $69. The fastest and the last of the Netburst, the 651 at 3.4 GHz with 2 MB cache will drop to $74. the new prices will kick into place in June.
The Intel Celeron CPUs are getting really cheap and the 3.33 GHz FSB 533 Celeron 356 costs only $54. Its big brother, clocked at 3.60 GHz and the same 533 FSB and 512 KB cache costs $69.
The 2 GHz FSB 800 part will cost $59, while the 1.8 GHz version called 430, will only costs $49. This certanly sounds like the death of single core and the netburst marchitecutre.
It's getting dirt cheap.
