We had the opportunity to find out that Intel is bringing its quad core 45 nanometre production into Q4 and the company plans to have six to seven per cent of its total server CPU shipments at 45 nanometre.
Clowertown will be 60 per cent of the overall Server CPUs in Q4, while Woodcrest will take about 26 per cent of the Q4 market.
So Intel is serious about its Quad core 45 nanometre parts in Q4 2007 but the real volume production starts in Q1 2008 when Intel expects that Harperton will take more than 20 per cent of the overall shipments and Wolfdale will start to ship with four per cent market share in Q1.
