Intel talked a lot about Penryn and showed it in its fab in Israel. What many of you might not know is that Penryn is the notebook design that should take over the Centrino platform.

Penryn is a 45nm Intel Core 2 Duo processors scheduled for 2008. This new CPU will use Cantiga GM  and PM Chipsets and it will work with ICH9M.

The new mobile 45 nanometre CPU codenam Penryn is scheduled for Q1 2008 and it will be introduced as Core 2 Duo and Core 2 Extreme.
