A 6.7-incher with Exynos 2400e SoC

Samsung has officially announced its new Galaxy S24 FE smartphone, bringing a larger 6.7-inch display, a bigger battery, and the new Exynos 2400e chipset that will cover all market.

The new Galaxy S24 FE is designed around a 6.7-inch FHD+ OLED panel with 120Hz refresh rate and the new Vision Booster. This puts the new Galaxy S24 FE at 162x77.3x8mm dimensions and 213g of weight, making it taller, wider, and just slightly thinner compared to the predecessor. It is also slightly heavier, but that does not come as a surprise considering it has a larger battery. As far as the battery is concerned, Samsung squeezed in a 4,700mAh one, which is 200mAh more capacity compared to the predecessor.

The heart of the Galaxy S24 FE is the Exynos 2400e, and although Samsung did not reveal any specific details regarding the SoC, this is still a 4nm 10-core CPU SoC with single Cortex-X4 core, 2+3 Cortex-A720 cores, and four Cortex-A520 efficiency cores. It still uses Xclipse 940 GPU, and we suspect that the prime Cortex-X4 core could come with a lower clock than the 3.2GHz on the Galaxy S24 lineup. Samsung is pairing up the SoC with 8GB of RAM and 128GB, 256GB, or 512GB of internal storage.

The camera system includes three rear cameras, a 50MP main one behind an f/1.8 lens, an 8MP telephoto one behind f/2.4 lens, and a 12MP one behind a 123-degree ultra-wide f/2.2 lens. The front camera is a 10MP one.

The Galaxy S24 FE also comes with all the usual connectivity, including WiFi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3, has IP68 resistance, 25W wired and 15W wireless charging, and runs on Android 14 and OneUI 6.1 OS. Samsung also promised seven years of security updates as well as the new OneUI 7 as soon as it comes out.

The Samsung Galaxy S24 FE is now available for pre-order, and will ship on October 3rd. The Galaxy S24 FE comes in Blue, Graphite, Gray, Mint, and Yellow colors, and is priced at $649 for the base 128GB version.
