The French told Apple to pull any iPhone 12’s from sale after it had been revealed that they were leaking too much radioactivity to be safe.

Apple denied that its phones were leaking anything other than wholesome goodness and seemed to stick its heels in. However,  soon after Germany said that it wanted to see the French figures and it started to look like Apple would be fast facing a European-wide ban.

The bizarre thing about this story is that the problem was fixed with software and was not a hardware issue. So the whole denying everything policy that Apple ran just looked very very silly.
