While the design is similar and based on Civi 2 smartphone, Xiaomi changed a lot of things when it comes to hardware. Ti comes with Gorilla Glass 5 front, glass back and plastic frame, and it is also IP53 certified. Xiaomi was keen to note that it weighs only 171g and it is just 7.23mm thick. It is built around a 6.55-inch AMOLED screen with 2400x1080 resolution, 1000nits of brightness, 120Hz refresh rate, and support for Dolby Vision and HDR10+.

As noted, Xiaomi changed a lot of hardware things for the Xiaomi 13 Lite, equipping it with Snapdragon 7 Gen 1, which is a decent boost in performance compared to the Xiaomi 12 Lite. On the other hand, it still comes with 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and either 128GB or 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage.

When it comes to the camera system, the Xiaomi 13 Lite features a triple rear camera system with the main 50MP Sony IMX766 sensor. This is the 1/1.56" sensor with 1.0µm pixels. It is placed behind a 23mm wide f/1.8 lens. The main sensor is backed by an 8MP 1/4.0" one behind f/2.2 lens, and 2MP macro one behind an f/2.4 lens. Xiaomi also updated the front camera, featuring two sensors, a 32MP main one and an 8MP depth one, and it also comes with front LED flash, something that is pretty rare on smartphones.

The rest of the features include an under-display optical fingerprint sensor, all the usual connectivity options, stereo speakers, WiFI 6, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC in some regions, and 5G support thanks to the Snapdragon X62 modem. It has a 4,500mAh battery and 67W wired charging, which should get it up to 100 percent in 40 minutes.

The Xiaomi 13 Lite starts at €499 and will also come on March 8. It comes in Lite Blue, Black, and Lite Pink color options.
