Huawei announces new EMUI platform

Huawei announced the rollout of its new EMUI platform, EMUI 11, to an initial 14 flagship Huawei smartphones.

First announced during its Global Launch Event on 22 October, EMUI 11 brings a range of new software features, improvements to privacy and security, as well as a smoother and more intuitive user experience to help Huawei devices stay faster.

Devices included in the update are as follows:

Huawei P40, Huawei P40 Pro, Huawei P40 Pro+, Huawei Mate 30 Pro, Huawei Mate Xs, Huawei P30, Huawei P30 Pro, Huawei P30 Pro New Edition, Huawei Mate 20 X, Huawei Mate 20 Pro, Huawei Mate 20, Porsche Design Huawei Mate20 RS, Huawei Mate 20 X 5G, Huawei nova 5T.

The initial rollout will be in two phases. The first phase will include Huawei P40, Huawei P40 Pro, Huawei P40 Pro+, and Huawei Mate 30 Pro, which receive the update by mid-December 2020. All remaining devices will receive the update by March 2021. The update will be pushed by Huawei Over-the-Air (HOTA).
