The Smach Zero Steam Machine, which was previously called the Steam Boy for obvious reasons, will be available for pre-order as of November 10th with a special pre-order price of US $299. The announcement came at Gamescom 2015 where Smach was showing off the new portable Steam OS based console and later confirmed in a video at the company's official Youtube channel.

The specifications of the Zero have been revealed a couple of months ago and included AMD embedded G-Series Steppe Eagle SoC with Jaguar-based CPU cores and GCN-based Radeon GPU cores, which will power a 5-inch 720p resolution touch screen. It also comes with 4GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage expandable via SD card slot or USB OTG port, configurable tactile gampads, HDMI video output, WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity and an optional LTE connectivity.
The Smach Zero will be running on Steam OS and should be able to handle games like Half-Life 2, Civilization V, DOTA 2, Bioshock Infinite and more. As it will be running on Steam OS, there will be plenty of native Steam OS games to play on the Smach Zero.
While the pre-order date is set for November 10th, Smach Zero will be shipping later next year and the precise date is still unknown.
