As expected after the launch of the new iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus, Apple has slashed the price of its older iPhones, including the iPhone 5C, which is now free, as well as the iPhone 5S which now starts at US $99.
The plastic iPhone 5C 8GB is now free on contract while the cheapest iPhone 5S 8GB has dropped down to US $99 on contract. Similar drops should be expected off-contract, but since Apple's site is down "for maintenance", we will have to wait a bit longer for that info, as well as the info for regular prices of the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus.
In case you missed it earlier, the new iPhone 6 starts at US $199 while the iPhone 6 Plus starts at US $299, both on a two-year contract.
