The company will showcase a new smartphone, which will not be the successor to the Ascend P6. The next flagship Ascend will get its own launch event, reports the Wall Street Journal. Huawei will also show two new tablets, but there is not much info about them, either.

Huawei is also joining the wearable space. It will showcase its first smartwatch at MWC, but it is not saying anything more than that. Several big names have already launched wearable devices, mostly smartwatches, while others are developing similar devices.

Another big Chinese player is also gearing up to launch a smartwatch. Last year ZTE said it would launch a smartwatch in the second quarter of 2014.
