It’s just 2MB in size and it brings no new features. It is however supposed to fix bugs and bring a few security patches. Google’s update history is not stellar to say the least. Android 4.3 simply doesn’t work well on quite a few devices.
Here at Fudzilla we use a few Nexus 4 and Nexus 7 devices, no Nexus 10 though, since it’s rubbish. In our experience, Android 4.3 works quite well on the Nexus 7, but the Nexus 4 is a bit of a disaster.
One Nexus 4 in particular experiences almost daily random reboots or shutdowns and quite a few Google apps tend to misbehave and require a reboot to get sorted. Perhaps the random rebook problem is in fact a feature?
Many Nexus 4 users are reporting similar problems, both on Android 4.2.x or 4.3 – which means it’s probably a hardware issue that’s anything but uncommon on Nexus 4 devices. Of course, Nick Farrell is unaffected as he’s rocking an iPhone.
