Dubbed Windows Phone 7.5, the overhauled OS is expected to feature numerous improvements. It will have an improved browser, better Microsoft Office support, new automated Facebook check-in feature, along with improved voice support, navigation and visual voicemail. WiFi tethering has also been rumoured as a new feature.
However, Windows Phone 7 has not done all that well in the market. Analysts believe up to 1.5 million WP7 handsets were shipped since it was introduced several months ago, but only about 600,000 units were actually sold.
This resulted in some serious price cuts on most Windows Phone 7 smartphones, which are nothing short of a bargain at this point.
