It appears that the handset easily beats all currently available phones by a significant margin. It is 30 to 40 percent faster than the Nexus One, Motorola Droid X or HTC Evo. It’s about twice as fast as Samsung’s best selling Galaxy S.
Mind you, the tests were done on Android 2.2, but there is a strong chance that the Star will end up with Gingerbread and the production model might even have better performance. Aside from the Tegra platform, the Star is not exactly a spectacular piece of kit, but it does have some clever features, such as HDMI output. This will surely come in handy with the extra graphics muscle.
