Acer shows its 4.8-inch Android smartphone
1024x480 screen and 1GHz Snapdragon
In addition to its tablet lineup, Acer has decided to show its new flagship smartphone at its global press event in New York City. The 4.8-inch beast will pack decent power under its full aluminum body and a quite impressive screen with a 1024x480 resolution.
Although the precise specs are still unknown, the Snapdragon 1GHz CPU, an unknown version of Google's Android OS together with Acer UI, 720p video recording, and that 4.8-inch 1024x480 resolution screen is certainly enough to draw some attention.
The rest of the features include a 2MP front camera and 8MP one on the back, six-axis Gyroscope, LED edge lightning, Bluetooth 3.0, 802.11n WiFi, HDSPA and an HDMI output.
Unfortunatelly, this one is scheduled for April 2011 as well, and Acer didn't want to speculate on the price. [Well that doesn't mean we can't speculate on the price. I think it will cost $8.99. There you have it. sub.ed.]
