The dark satanic rumour mill has manufactured a hellish rumour that Motorola is ceasing orders on the original Droid.

According to some internal papers that have tipped up on the world wide wibble Motorola (MOT) will be ending the run of the most successful Android device in its short history.

Motorola has a lot to thank the Droid for. The A855 not only  validated Android it made Motorola viable again.

The Verizon (VZ) Droid was released with a series of commercial attacking the iPhone.  It was able to reach its first millionth customer quicker than the original iPhone too.

The Droid is probably the closest thing the real phone industry had to being an iPhone killer.
