HTC today announced the European launch of the HTC P3470, an affordable GPS touch screen PDA phone. It’s a quad-band compact PDA phone with 2.8” screen measuring 108x58.3x15,7mm and it weighing in at 122 grams.
It uses the SiRFstarIII GPS chip, which is good and comes bundled with TomTom Navigator 6 software and maps. Apparently, the battery life should be great for this kind of device, but then its performance is not stellar, because of its 200 MHz CPU. Also, the device doesn’t have HTC Touch FLO and no WiFi.
This device is marketed for the lower priced market segment and it should be available at the end of February in most retail shops around Europe for around 450 euro.
