Sprint customers bailing in droves
5,000 lost revealed during Q1 results
It seems that Sprint is losing customers in droves. In the latest results for Q1, Sprint announced that it had lost 75,000 customers while posting revenues of $8.1 billion, which is still a $865 million dollar loss. Dan Hesse, Sprint CEO, said that “we continue to make progress in improving the business.”
The losses are based on a variety of things, but it does seem that the continued roll out of more 4G is something that could help the carrier turn the tables. We have to think, however, that despite the progress that the company is making in rolling out 4G services (also know as WiMax), it is too little, too late. Many analysts believe that Sprint cannot roll out enough WiMax in enough places fast enough to have a significant impact on the company’s bottom line.
