NEC recently announced its new cellphone chip that will enable production of cellphones with 12 megapixel cameras that will impressively enough enable capturing full HD 1080p video.
The chip, codenamed CE143, features built-in image stabilization and face recognition support, which will be as much as 25 times faster compared to current software solutions.
The chip will be shown on the upcoming Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. The company announced sample distribution for March and the mass production is scheduled for April this year.
