It seems like Samsung didn't want to be outdone by Asus and has launched its own 806MHz Windows Mobile handset, although the T*Omina is only available in Korea. The handset is quite different from the Omnia, which is sold in the rest of the world, despite using a very similar design.

Besides the faster processor, the T*Omnia has a slightly larger 3.3-inch display with a whopping 480x800 resolution, which is the highest we've seen on a Windows Mobile device of this type. Other features include HSDPA up to 7.2Mbps, 802.11b/g WiFi, Bluetooth 2.0 with EDR, S-GPS, DMB-T mobile TV and a 5Megapixel camera.

The T*Omnia will be available with 4 or 16GB of built-in memory and has a microSD card slot for memory expansion. It's also offers official DivX support and can play back a wide range of other audio and video formats.

The only downside would be a slight increase in weight to 133g compared to 121g for the Omnia, and it's also somewhat larger and thicker at 115.2x58.1x13.65mm. No pricing was announced, but there's a short YouTube video from the launch event with Steve Ballmer attending, which you can find here.
