The Google phone, or the T-Mobile G1 as it's known as, has not been available for long, but those that aren't too keen on using T-Mobile will be glad to know that you can now get it network unlocked, for a fee.

At €19.90, it's not that expensive, but considering most other phones are cheaper to unlock, if not free, this might seem a little bit much for some. There are already customer testimonials on the site and there are videos showing that it works.

For some this is great news, especially those that travel abroad a lot and want to avoid the high roaming costs, but for most users this is unlikely to be a big deal. Hopefully, we'll see a free version sometime soon, just as with the iPhone.
