Texas Instruments recently decided to sell their mobile phone department. This should save the company some $200 million USD.
The company still didn't release any info on potential buyers or the interested parties, but we’re expecting to hear about it in the following weeks. However, this decision won’t have any effect on TI’s mobile business, as they plan to keep focusing on developing wireless application processors for mobile phones.
Texas Instruments expects the sale to be finalized by June next year.
