Sony Ericsson yesterday announced their new handset named TM506. The handset will be available through US T-Mobile and this is Sony Ericsson's first 3G phone working on AWS frequencies (1700/2100).
TM506 is a thin flip-phone with 92,5mm x 47,5mm x 17,2mm dimensions and weighing in at just 85 grams with the battery. It features a 2mp camera capable of capturing video and it comes with aGPS and stereo Bluetooth 2.0/A2DP.
TM506 also comes with Media Center supporting many video and audio formats. Supported video formats are: 3GPP (H.263, H.264), MP4, RealVideo 8 and WMV whereas the supported audio formats include: AAC, AAC+, eAAC+, MP3, M4A, WAV, RealAudio 8, and WMA.
The phone is intended for the U.S. market and its working frequencies are Tri-Band GSM (850/1800/1900) and Dual - Band UMTS (1700/2100 & 2100).
The phone should hit T-Mobile stores in early September.
