Orange scores iPhone deal outside France
To arrive later this year
Orange has signed a deal with Apple to sell its iPhone in various markets and the initial list of countries includes Austria, Belgium, the Dominican Republic, Egypt, Jordan, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Switzerland and some unspecified countries in Africa.
As you might have noticed the U.K. isn't on the list, nor are some other countries in which Orange operates such as Spain; although the company is already selling the iPhone in France.
The big question here is if we're talking the current model, or if this is a deal related to the upcoming 3G version of the iPhone. The press release doesn't state any addition information apart from the list of countries above.
