Hitachi announced their new cell-phone called W61H. This is a flip-phone with dimensions 51x107x16.9mm and weighs 137 grams. Besides the main 2.8-inch display with 240x400 pixels and 260K colors, this phone has an outer 2.7-inch display using e-ink technology. Outer display is phone-integrated and can show 95 different patterns, symbols and pictures that you can change by a simple push of a button.
Besides having e-ink casing that definitely gives this phone character, you also get a 1.97 megapixel integrated camera, Digital “one-segment” TV and microSD slot for cards of up to 2GB and IrDA port.
This phone will be distributed exclusively in Japan and should be soon available through KDDI, Japanese network provider.
