During a speech AT&T's CEO, Randall Stephenson, revealed that the new version of the iPhone, which is set to appear next year, will have 3G.
Stephenson did not go into detail and said nothing about the expected launch date or pricing. The original iPhone was widely criticized for not supporting 3G, but this doesn't seem to have affected sales very much.
Following the iPhone launch in roam-loving Europe a few weeks back, 3G is becoming a must for the new version, especially for data connectivity, which is one of the iPhone's big selling points.
