Independent Security Evaluators have deemed iPhone vulnerable to attackers due to a flaw firs reported by John Schwartz in Monday New York Times.
A malicious web site,Wi-Fi access point or a link sent by phone - any of these might trigger an open road to information stored in an iPhone.
It is expected that this will problem will be fixed shortly but iPhone users are still advised to refrain from visiting the sites they do not trust.
