Reinische Post, a German newspaper, reported that T-Mobile will get an exclusive deal to distribute the iPhone in Germany.

Take this with a grain of salt, since many believed that Vodafone will get the contract, but who knows. Maybe Vodafone wasn't thrilled with the alleged 10% which AT&T is supposed to cough up to Jobs.

Anyway, Spiegel Online claims that over 700.000 units were sold in the US so far. According to Der Spiegel, Apple and AT&T could move as many as 3 million units during the next three quarters, securing revenues of €1.4 billion.

While these numbers seem huge, keep in mind that Apple plans to sell 10 million iPhones by the end of 2008. Even if they succeed, that would get them just 1% of the global mobile phone market.

The iPhone should be available in Germany on November 1, at a price of 450 euro, or $612 but you will have to commit yourself for a long term contract and pay a lot of money for that to T mobile.
