HTC has announced it latest Windows Mobile device, although it's still using version 5 of the operating system. It looks rather retro and not that dissimilar to some very old devices from the early days of Pocket PC phones.

The hardware is fairly basic, as the P6300 features a 400MHz Samsung processor and a 3.5in LED backlit 240x320 display. Interestingly it has 256MB of ROM and 128MB of RAM which is pretty good for a device in this class.

The P6300 is a tri-band GSM phone with GPRS, but it lacks support for EDGE. However, it does have 802.11b/g Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 2.0 with EDR support, so the lack of 3G might not be a huge issue.

It also has a 2Mega pixel camera, but not flash. It should also have a standard SD card slot with SDIO support.
