Dell develops new PDA
Out with the old and in with the new
Days after Dell announced it was killing off its Axim PDA, rumours are flying around Asian manufactures that Quanta Computer is developing a PDA handset for the company.
Quanta is refusing to comment, but it appears that the project, codenamed "Fly," will be based around the Windows Mobile 6 Professional platform and supporting HSDPA. Quanta, is the biggest notebook supplier for Dell and has a history of making such devices.
Dell yanked the Axim X51 products off its Web site and stopped selling them on April the 5th, after first launching the Axim Pocket PC in 2002. It has previously been rumoured that the company was going to make another PDA with Palm.
